My Chemical Romance have announced that they will be recording with producer Brendan O’Brien (AC/DC, Killswitch Engage, Rage Against the Machine, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, The Offspring, Bruce Springsteen) for their forthcoming album. The band had this to say:

In the next few weeks, My Chemical Romance will head into the studio to record their fourth full-length album with producer Brendan O’Brien. [...] He’s good.

The record will follow 2006’s The Black Parade. The band promised a back-to-basics sound.
